![]() I can note, however, that the tactic does not work that well against Premier League teams (FA cup). Dunno about tier 3 yet, the season just started. I may just as well have been lucky, but this is what worked for me in 4th tier English football. Matches would quickly go from 0-1 to 3-1. Every 15 minutes I would check the opposition line of defence and if they were too defensive, I would change my tactic by bringing my own line of engagement down, wait another 15 minutes and if their line of defence moved up the pitch, I would change mentality to careful, passing to more direct, tempo to very high, distribution to quickly, counter and counter-press, and a pacey AF in the attack (preferably a new sub). I would start the season normally, attacking mentality, short passing play, ball out the box. The next season I tried playing less attack-like, and the route one tactic worked the most for me. Basically, the only times I won (or even drew) was when the opposition had injured first team players or a really poor full back that I could exploit. In SB League Two things started very well, we were among the top 5 teams by Christmas, but then it all just started to go downhill and teams would just steamroll me. The following season I finished 7th and was promoted through playoffs and this is where things started to get problematic. Next season finished 1st and got promoted to 5th tier. The first season was a problem because it was a newly promoted team with newgens and really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ finances, finished 12th. I play Gainsborough and started in the Vanarama North (6th English tier). While although scoring a lot of goals in pre-season with less game experience and zero tactical knowledge.īut we have this corona thing still going and i have nothing to do. I dont understand why i get twelve 0-0, and why my striker needs 60 Chances to score one goal. Ajax Season 94/95 none 0-0 in the league.īarcelona and Ajax although started their seasons with a new team and coach. ![]() In the Barcelona League 08/09 there was no 0-0. Teams who couldnt keep up with tempo and tactical advantage where just overrun. Total Domination football with ball possession. I understand that possession can get countered often, and i see lots of 0:0's happening in reality.īut look what Ajax did in the 90's or Barcelona in 00's. I have 3 formations the team is capable of playing its possession thingy. ![]() Now with advice, i look into the strenghts of my team, and decide which roles each player can do. My strikers not scoring any goals while having a ton of chances and easily 70% possession. No matter how i start it is always ending up the sameb way. I always keep an eye on teamchemistry and morale, i employ only top staff, in one game i only hired only people with the same tactic and philosophy, which has been wisely chosen beforehand. And i like putting my top U19 players in starting lineup for a suprise momentum. To the point where i started getting 0:0 like 5 times in a row out of the blue. Well David, the first 100 hours in the game, i played with no advice. if they are bigger than you and push you off the ball, play a low defensive line to make them push up, and then use the 'route one' tactic to play balls over their heads straight to your forwards if they have overloaded the midfield, change your formation to beat their overload if they are slow, use 'run at defense' to run past them if they are good tacklers, try to use 'dribble less' to play around them From my experience, very rarely can you use the same basic tactic successfully over the course of a whole season - What is very successful early on in the season (when you are scoring lots of goals) becomes less so over time, as teams react to your success and change tactics to stop you.ġ - You should have 2-3 tactics your team is comfortable with to switch things upĢ - As the game is being simulated, watch the stats - most importantly - possession, number of shots and type of shots (long range vs inside the box) - if the other team is winning these stats - you will lose the game and have to change something immediatelyģ - when you are attacking, study the opposition players:
